This week I have Fall kickoff. Students will be sharing their practice prop projects, I’ll be introducing details for Piano Olympics, my new Clavinova, new programs we will be using this year and playing a game at the end.

During my Fall kickoff I will be showing this short 2-1/2 minute YouTube clip

One reason I like to hold incentive programs in my studio is because they are all goal based programs. I want my students to get in the habit of setting and completing goals. This not only helps them with their piano studies, but is beneficial in school and in life. When we make goals, we are striving to be our best. I just got back from Las Vegas where I was able to see the Cirque Du Soleil show- Ka! It was fantastic. I couldn’t help but think while I was watching this show and many others like it that ANYTHING is possible with enough hard work and dedication. Us, humans are pretty amazing; we just need to set goals and believe in ourselves that we can complete whatever we want to do!
