Description

Music Instruments poke cards are a great way for students to assess themselves and encourage independent learning when reviewing and learning about musical instruments and their instrument families. Have a big group of students? Divide into stations!

Students simply “poke” in the correct answer and look on the back to see if they were correct. An answer key and optional recording sheet are included.

Time Saver Tip: These DO take prep time. If you don’t want to hole punch and have students poke through their answer, “clip it” instead. Take a clothespin or clip of some kind and have them clip over their answer and check it on the back.

There are 36 different instruments included. Instrument families are divided as Brass, Keyboard, Percussion, String, and Woodwind.

There are 3 card variations. Each variation includes 3 print options to choose from: Full color, lightly colored and b/w. (B/W recently added. If you don’t see it in your file, re-download)

These cards work very well during stations. They take a bit of time to copy, laminate, label and hole punch, however, it is worth it since I will use these for several years to come.

    • Jennifer Foxx –

Thanks, Mrs. K! They are a lot of prep, but so worth it in the end. I’m happy you have found the value in them. Thanks so much! 🙂
