I had the wonderful opportunity to be a recent guest on Melissa Slocum’s podcast, Sounds of Encouragement. If you aren’t familiar with Melissa’s podcast, let me share a little bit first…
Sounds of Encouragement Backstory
Sounds of Encouragement began in the middle of the 2020 pandemic. During this time, Melissa noticed that teachers really needed encouragement to help them through this tough time. Melissa started out doing short encouraging videos for a couple months inside a Facebook group. After receiving a positive response from those videos, with teachers asking for more, turned into the Sounds of Encouragement podcast.
Each podcast episode is categorized by topic for reflection. In addition there are episodes of interviews with music teachers and musicians that are positive, encouraging and supportive to others.
