10 Year Blog Anniversary Celebration!

Misc., Musings, Tips

Mark your calendars for the 10 Year Blog Anniversary Celebration! This Friday from September 18-27th, you are invited to join me in our 10 year blog anniversary celebration! It wouldn’t be a celebration without freebies and giveaways. Make sure you actively check your email during this time as it will be 10 days of freebies and giveaways!! Whoohoo!

BACK THEN…

My very first blog post began August 6, 2010. At that time, I had no idea where it would go or what it would become. Matter of fact, I was pretty lazy in even coming up with a name so I had settled on FPSResources. FPS stood for “Foxx Piano Studio”. The problem with this name is it wasn’t clear that it had anything to do with music and what my blog was about. So finally in 2015, I changed the name to Music Educator Resources.

It’s hard to believe that I have been blogging for 10 years now. I started the blog after being inspired by other bloggers like Susan Paradis and Natalie Weber (just to name a couple). I have always enjoyed sharing with teachers and I thought this would be a great way to have a “home base” so to speak. Sharing ideas to help inspire and motivate students as well as helping independent teachers run a successful studio, is what brings me joy.

THANK YOU!

Thank you for all your support these last 10 years. It truly has been a wonderful experience as I have gotten to know so many of you over the years. I love seeing the amazing things you all do. Keep up the great things you are doing with your students. It may not be easy at times, but know that you are doing important work!

PLEASE INVITE…

If you have some music teacher friends that you think would enjoy my blog, please invite them to this page. I would love for them to also enjoy 10 days of freebies and giveaways as we celebrate the 10-year blog anniversary together. If you aren’t signed up on my email list yet, make sure you join below so you don’t miss out on the celebration!

Congratulations, Jennifer! I didn’t open my studio until 2012 so I wasn’t one of the originals but once I started teaching full time, your blog became one of my greatest resources. Thanks so much for all you do!

Congratulations on 10 years! You have been such a great resource for helping me make my studio a fun place to learn music. The monthly freebies are fabulous (my students LOVED the game “BOOM” for 4th of July!) and the courses, games and teaching aides in your store are always top quality. You’ve been busy for the past 10 years and I bet I speak for many music teachers when I say “You Are APPRECIATED!” and “Thank you for all you do!”

Wow! I’ve not been following piano music sites for too long but I even noticed a couple of names you mentioned from who signed your first blog post. It’s fun to know this is a close-knit community even though it’s a pretty big world. Thank you for all you share and your daily videos have been fun to see this past week.
