Tech Tuesday: MusicEdConnect.com 2016

Conference, Tech Tuesdays

Coming soon to a computer near you… With a brand new line up, MusicEdConnect.com, an online conference is coming soon! This year the conference will start out with keynote speaker, Pete Jutras, presenting “The Road Ahead.”  He will be speaking on the future of teaching piano and what is the best way to teach this next generation effectively.

Brand new this year, there will be a “Tech Tuesday” which will include many “how to” sessions like How to Broadcast Your Recital Over the Internet, extend your screen as well as how to use iMovie and GarageBand. The first half of the session will be live with the 2nd half recorded so you can watch at your own pace.

Then Wednesday through Friday you will hear from other presenters on various topics plus a few showcases too! This conference is jam packed and a great deal! Then when you thought it was over, if you purchase the full access package, attendees will be able to attend the Saturday networking sessions where you can network with other attendees, ask questions, etc…

I am excited to be returning as a presenter this year. And am looking forward in speaking with you on engaged learning. I will be sharing how to identify and assess learning styles, understand how the ear, eye, hand and mind play an important role in the music learning cycle, understand how to influence motivation, build confidence and promote competence, and apply practical tools to engage learning. This presentation will conclude with specific activities and resources teachers can use to check for understanding and create a more engaged learning environment. Hope you will be able to join me!

See the attached MEC 2016 Brochure or visit www.musicedconnect.com for the session descriptions and details.

Now for the really exciting part! I have a coupon especially for my readers! The conference is already a crazy deal between $129-$149.00 but if you register using the coupon code FPS16 you can save $10.00! I highly recommend registering for the “full access” pass as this will allow you to ask questions after presentations and attend the Saturday networking session. Plus there is just something about attending live when you can.

What’s the difference between the Replay pass and the Full Access pass? Replay allows you to watch the recorded version approximately a week AFTER the conference is over. The Full Access Pass allows you to watch live, ask questions, attend the Saturday networking sessions AND go back and watch the re-plays when they are available.

The conference is all happening the beginning of February! Hope to see you at MEC!
