I used this with my 3rd and 4th graders at their October group lesson. They loved all the different ways to create rhythm–the only hiccup that I didn’t anticipate was that some students didn’t know how to snap! I just had them clap instead, so it still worked well!
Jennifer Foxx –
Oh yes! Snapping something that not everyone can do! Another option you can have them do in place of snapping is flicking their fingers instead. It doesn’t make a lot of noise but still fun and close to snapping. 🙂 Thanks for your comment!
Cheryl R. –
My studio had a lot of fun with these body beat rhythms! Thank you!
Jennifer Foxx –
Awesome, so glad to hear it! Thanks Cheryl! 🙂
Depth and Complexity in Harmony –
Had multi-level students using this game in a group setting. It was too complicated for the youngest students to change how they beat-so we just all clapped as we chanted. Students did enjoy playing it though-and asked for more.
Jennifer Foxx –
You adapted perfectly! Glad they enjoyed it! 😉
Marie H. –
My students had fun with this last year and we are looking forward to having fun with it this year as well!

What a fun game for a Halloween piano party or group lesson! I am looking forward to using this with my students! Thank you for another wonderful resource!

Laura T. –
My kids are loving this. Some are challenging for them.
Jennifer Foxx –
Thanks for your feedback Laura, glad your students are enjoying it. Challenges are good as that is what makes us grow and stretch but if you find that some are too challenging, just simply remove them for those students/groups. 😉
Anne G. –
We had fun working on these!
Jennifer Foxx –
Glad to hear it Anne! Thank you!

I’ve used this with preschoolers through my adult students, and they all enjoyed it! We used it in a variety of ways, including some just keeping the steady beat while others did the rhythms and words, all the way to the kids experimenting with creating their own body percussion combinations to fit the rhythms/words. It will be a staple in our fall music activities for years to come!!
Jennifer Foxx –
Whoohoo! I’m so happy to hear that! Thanks so much Valerie for sharing! 🙂
Cincere Fazekas –
Thnx 😉
Jennifer Foxx –
You bet! Thanks Cincere!
