Review: Castle Escape

Lesson resources, Reviews

Castle EscapeDaniel McFarlane has a brand new release on SupersonicsPiano you will want to check out! Castle Escape is full of imagery and fun! Dragons, Trolls, Spiders, Battles and more can be found! This suite is one that your students will love! Every piece is a fun adventure!

Because Castle Escape is written in such a way where students can easily tell a storyline for each piece, it is a great source to use with students that you might have who struggle to play with emotion and artistry. Have them come up with different story lines as they are learning each piece and then put the story all together in the end. They are only limited to their imagination.

Castle Escape includes 10 graded elementary pieces, each one available in 4 different keys (A minor, C minor, G minor and D minor)! The pieces also provide a fun way to review technical skills that need more reinforcement. A great supplemental resource in your library.

Sshhh… don’t tell my students but I’ve actually been planning a medieval theme for next year so when I saw Daniel’s new release I was super excited as all the pieces will go perfectly with our recital next year. Cannot wait!

You can preview the notation and hear each piece on SupersonicsPiano here. In the same link, I would encourage you to watch the video that Daniel made. He gives some ideas and tips on how to use Castle Escape with your students. As with all of Daniel’s digital music, Castle Escape is studio licensed which means you can use the digital files as many times as you would like. Castle Escape is a sure winner for your students!

Tip Time! You may be interested to know… Any purchase at SupersonicsPiano in March goes into a draw to win one of 4 $50 digital music vouchers to the site. So if you have been thinking about purchasing Castle Escape or any of the other music goodies on the site, this is a great time to do it!
