Musicathlon Around the World | Practice Incentive Program
After many years of using the original Musicathlon program (rotated every four years, just like the Olympics), I wanted to offer something fresh and exciting. That’s how Musicathlon: Around the World was born!
This edition is a completely new experience, with a global twist. While it’s built on the same solid foundation of consistent practice and skill-building, students will now travel to different “host” countries around the world. Each time they complete a leg of their journey through daily practice, they’ll complete a musical challenge that represents the country’s culture and style.
With 13 countries to explore and 260 challenges to choose from, students will have plenty of variety to stay engaged. Printable passports, flight maps, and stamps add to the fun, making this flexible program a motivating adventure week after week.
And the best part? You can rotate between this version and the original Musicathlon to keep things fresh!

How it Works:

Each country represents a leg of the journey.
-
Students mark daily practice on a Flight Map (18 practice days per country).
-
Upon completing their flight, students complete a musical challenge inspired by the culture and music of that country.

After each challenge, they receive a passport stamp and choose their next destination!
13 Countries to Choose From
You can customize the program based on your schedule or allow students to pick their own route for a personalized, meaningful experience.
260 Musical Challenge Options Included! (Pssst! This is WAY more than you will need) Designed with differentiation in mind, challenges vary in level so choose what fits best for a student. Each country includes 20 challenge options across five categories:

Over 18 supporting worksheets are included to use with some of the challenges.
Musicathlon Passport & Stamps
Students record their progress with a printable passport, adding 2 different themed “stamps” and writing down the challenges they complete. It’s a great way to boost motivation and celebrate their accomplishments.
Optional supplemental resources included to enhance the experience even more.
