I’m always drawn to unique and creative ideas, so when I heard that composer Brock Chart had launched a new music subscription called Melodies Monthly, I knew I had to check it out. Having already enjoyed his composing style in the Five-Finger Jazz, Pop, and Rock books, I had no doubt it would be something special. As I dug deeper into how it worked, I was completely hooked! This was more than just a subscription; it was an interactive and inspiring musical experience!
Melodies Monthly is a must-have resource for music teachers who love bringing fresh, engaging music into their lessons! What sets this subscription apart is its interactive and creative approach. Each month, teachers can be a part of the music creation process by voting on the instrument, style, difficulty level, and musical genre. You can even add some special requests. Brock then takes the results and composes brand-new, custom-written pieces based on the collective input. How cool is that?

Each month you will receive 3 brand-new custom pieces, plus a “Chef’s Choice” piece, all composed by Brock. Pieces can range from solos, group piano pieces, duets, and more! It’s a fun surprise to see what you get that month! Each piece is studio-licensed, so you can use it with as many of your students as you want.
In February, two pieces fit what I was hoping to receive, based on my voting submission. Mission X (see sample below) was one of them. For that one, Brock took from a couple of different teacher requests, and this was the result. I can’t explain how exciting it was when the new pieces were announced.

This unique, community-driven model makes Melodies Monthly more than just a resource; it’s an exciting and collaborative experience! The pieces are creative, fun, and filled with fresh, high-quality music, making Melodies Monthly a fantastic choice. It’s not just about receiving music, it’s about being part of the creative journey! Highly recommend!
