New Name!!!

Musings

If you are following me on social media you may have noticed that I’ve been making some changes. FPSResources is now Music Educator Resources! I’m really excited to implement and officially announce the new name!

If you have FPSResources.com bookmarked, you can now change it to MusicEducatorResources.com. I will have the old url forwarded for a while as we transition, but when you are thinking about it, it’s good to go ahead and just make the change so you don’t have to worry about it later.

Why the change?

Well, when I started FPSResources back in 2010, I had no idea the blog would be where it is today. I also was pretty lazy on coming up with a name. I figured why not just do FPS, which stands for Foxx Piano Studio. The problem is, the name does not call out “music”! This has bugged me for years. So I decided to not let it bug me anymore and do something about it!

Why Music Educator Resources?

My blog has always focused on you, music teachers, sharing resources that will help you in your teaching. So I wanted to make sure the new name reflected that. As music educators we have a big and exciting responsibility to our students. It doesn’t matter whether we teach privately or in a music classroom, we are all in this together. I wanted something that would unite ALL music educators!

How can I stay connected?

Subscribe via Email

A great way to stay updated is to subscribe to the Music Educator Resources newsletter and also the blog posts. These are two different things. The newsletter is usually just sent 1-2 times a month, where the blog subscription sends out an email each time a post is made (usually 2-3 times a week, depending). Both are a great way to stay updated. Note If you have been getting my blog posts via email prior to Dec. 12th, you may need to subscribe again. (See this post) If you are reading this post in your email inbox, then you should be okay.

I do send monthly FREEBIES and discounts to my newsletter subscribers so you will definitely want to get in on that.cSign me up for newsletter email.
