Hi. I have several 5 year old students in a group class along with advanced students ( 2-4th graders). How to hold their attention??

Rita, if you have an option to do a separate group I would do that as your first option. If you don’t, then perhaps think about doing stations? When your 5 year olds are playing Piano Whizz Kid for example, your 2-4th graders are playing a different game. Then you come in together at the end and do a rhythm activity. Also- another thought is when you are playing games, to have different leveled questions. So questions that will be good for the 5 year olds and then questions that would be good for the 2-4th graders. Hope that gives you some ideas!
